Tom, I wanted to publicly tell you how much I appreciate your postings regarding your flights, weather analysis, etc. The amount of specific information your put out is awesome and I know everyone appreciates your wealth of knowledge. I read every one of your postings and always learn from them.

I was glad to read of your flight from the Nuthouse to Moorpark. When I first arrived at Camarillo I posted some thoughts regarding my goal of XC from the grade. I only received negative comments but still hold out hope that someday the conditions will match my occasional flight schedule and make such a challenging flight possible.

I have yet to attempt anything but Art showed the link to Hill Canyon was possible along the route I had proposed. I was also glad to read your comments on your Moorpark flight regarding Tiera Rejada valley. On my fantasy magical day from the grade, Tiera Rejada would be the next point after reaching the eastern end of Santa Rosa valley. Depending on the local flow then I figure one would likely need to head northeast of Moorpark college in order to find more trigger spots prior to the next goal of Rocky Peak, east of Simi. After that, Oak Mt. and beyond! The nice thing about this route is it has the possibility of linking up with Hwy 14 towards the desert, something more difficult to do from the more northern Santa Paula - Piru routing.

I don't fly XC much (two flights in the last year) but I figure on the days I do that any prior thought to the proposed routing will be an asset (even if others perceive it to be merely a fantasy).

Thanks again for all the info, Forger
