Punched off around 11:30 (?) after the wind switched faster than you can turn your head. Chad and Evan went out front (after Chad took a big whack right off launch) and down while Chris P. and I took the rocket ride to 7500 right over launch. 1500f/m up in strong but smooth lift. Quite the view! Chad and Evan never really did get up but the convergence was doing funny things. It would move down the valley, then come back to launch, then back...very hard to track and stay in. Chris P. headed down the ridge for a series of WAY low saves and eventually put down near the ONE road that we could get to him on. Lucky dood. I headed out over the highway and got caught in the west wind for a 0 groundspeed landing. Nothing like a good hour of exciting flying at a new site. Chris P had the distance for the day with 11(?) miles though we drove at least 5x that trying to find him..;P
