Brendan and Pipkin launched (ask pipkin about his frontal...one of the funniest mishaps ive ever seen on launch) and maintained for a few minutes but eventually bailed. Kristi and Benson were next off and Kristi managed to get a few hundred over so Jon and I followed with Sharon not far behind. Really natty air and small cores which topped out around 4700 though Jon managed to hit 5 after we bailed. Suffered for 30 minutes or so before bailing out with a 7 mph tailwind. Perhaps that northeast we had at pine pushed through to chiefs and the rattiness was rotor? Lots of sink and turb over twin peaks and brutal sink over the valley. Nearly 400fpm down the whole way. Sharon and I came to a near stop over the LZ with the southwest wind but Kristi and Jon had much better luck. Unique and fun (havent had to scratch that low for a LONG time) but could have been otherwise simulated by riding an angry bull for 30 minutes.
