We had fourteen bodies in Eagle chase as we pulled out of Parma at 9:30. It was great to get some good weather on a weekend when we could all enjoy it together. SD was climbing out as the Skyport came into view on the way up the hill. Arrived at launch to find Ojai John and the Spin Doctor waiting for a cycle, as SD did a fly by to the double R and came back and spiraled down before top landing on the road and stopping by to say hello. People started punching off and climbing out as things picked up. Peter Miller and BK both had long thermal flights. Peter got up to 4 over the factory, and had 3 flights total. BK had fun thermaling for a couple hours, and was pretty dialed on his thermal turns by the end of the day. Kev Dog had his first high flights Sunday. He sledded to St. Mary’s on his first flight, then did some thermaling and made it Parma with about 500 on his second. He hooked a fatty over Parma that took him to 2900, so we pointed him at East Beach, and he ended up landing on the lawn of the mansion. Trifko, Petey, Allison, did lots of hopping around from peak to peak having fun twisting up on the climbs. I ended up doing 3 tandems. Got up at the factory and went to Parma on the first, got up to 44 at the factory on the second and flew to East Beach. We ridge soared the mansion for about 35 minutes floating 15 to 30 feet above the tree tops before touching down on the beach. Made it back to the skyport at 5:15pm, and punched off for another tandem sledder to Parma at 5:30pm. Lets hope we get more good days here in SB before the season is over. Too much fun!
