Friday Afternoon look at Saturday

The Carpinteria Valley Little League (Baseball) has asked us to fly into their opening ceremony at El Carro Park on Saturday. The preferred time for arrival is between 1 PM and 1:30. That coincides with something going on. There are no games, just festivities.

El Carro Park is off the west end of my street, next to Girls Inc, between 192 and El Carro. Girls ink is the large barn like building with the green roof.

Saturday’s weather is looking a little iffy. Starting off with a deep marine layer, probable low cloudbase with precipitation, a good lapse rate, and some mid altitude south wind. The winds aloft forecast is calling for SW, but we could see some local SE. Shouldn’t need much heating to make it work. The precipitation should be minimal.

A post frontal NW should push through later in the day for partial clearing and some wind from the NW. Bates may turn on, but the current marine forecast isn’t calling for strong blow.

Sunday should be drier, but may bring some north wind.

I’ll update in the morning. I have a tentative tandem scheduled from the Skyport to Carpinteria.

This is our first weekend this spring.
