I wont go into all the details of where everyone went today except to say that Ojai John had us all beat with a turnpoint at the Nuthouse, then back across to land in upper Ojai. Other than that we had pilots spread out over the valley like a flock of seagulls in a hurricane.
As far as I can tell we had a touch of east at launch, and everything from East, West, and rotor from the North while flying. Very turbed, punchy, and downright trashy. Felt like trying to reel in a 200lb fish while standing on a skateboard...twiiiiiitchy. If you didnt use speedbar for landing in the valley you would be setting up for a backwards approach. Despite all that we managed to scrape just over 2 hours out of it. Not bad! What's the plan for Sunday?
