Last minute call to Fred V got me a ride to chiefs today. Arrived at 12 noon and it was light and variable still. The east backed off more and it came up nice. Off on the First intentional / second attempt all in all... Not a lot happening for the inversion was right at 5 K today... Took a couple turns at bump 2... Headed down towards twins. Arrived just over the top. Took a good thermal back up 500 or so. Then it hit me. WACK Minor tip colasp and hard turn. Then the break line snagged in the pully. In with about 4 inches of pull to it... Tried to thermal 2 more turns and was high enough to go on glide to Bocallis easy enough... Finally got the snag out after about 4 minutes of on glide in the smooth air. Slow going at first due to break line... Then I got it to pop free.

On Glide hit 3 extenders and kept going. I landed near the Ojai Lumber company in the last field there where the horses are... Walked 1 mile to the trolly. Home at 230PM... What did I learn. Asses the problem and if it is Flyable continue to fly. Can it be fixed easily. Yes just get the snag out of the pully... Fly away from the hill and work on it in the smooth air!~! Always asses your situation and make GOOD decisions and not Paniced ones. I had a great flight... Not a Problem and all in all was Fun.
