Just a quick report for today. Lousy conditions at launch but we all managed to get off the hill. Early launchers (Tom P, Brendan, Benson) managed to maintain at twin peaks for a few minutes but bugged out before the last batch (John K, Dan K, Chris, Mike) got off the hill. The last batch flushed pretty quickly (I think they went over with altitude beyond the height of the thermals) but John and I managed to scrape around twin peaks for almost an hour. The thermals were out front a good distance and had a fair ammount of punch but only went up a few hundred over the peak. John was consistantly 100-200 over my head (I have no idea how he does it) but the flying was entertaining and scratching around over sharp pointy rocks serves as a good incentive to improve thermaling technique. All in all it was a doable day but you had to hunt for it and most importantly, never give up!
