...Was blowing mostly NW/OTB @ 0-3mph at 1230pm. I met several of the local HG pilots standing in the LZ waiting for a driver including Fred who is the Sylmar Club Pres. They had just come back from rain and high cross winds in SB the day before. Most in the LZ blew off the day due to the light switchy conditions. The single HG launch we witnessed dove and flipped into the bushes below launch. A PG launched 20 minutes later, and scratched for a while, then as I was driving away was at ~4700' and climbing.
