It reminded me of the old days sitting a launch hoping the clouds would clear. Almost immediately after Ron launched it clouded over. Just when we thought of turning tail and running the shy opened again. Benson who just repacked his wing was getting ready to launch.
Lift over the Holy Hills was very good. I was up over 4200' when cloud base was getting very close. I ran over to the thermal factory where it was still clear and was in some very nice lift when the cloud base from the antenna farm was closing in on me. I took a reading and headed south. There were just too many wings in the air to play with the cotton.
After landing at Parma we turned around and went back up. I was close to 3:00 and it had begun to OD. I went out the AF and played for a while at 3400' and took the glide to Parma. More south wind than what I like to take any of the flights to the beach. Wind was SE at 5/8.
