With nothing else to do on a Friday afternoon (being unemployed at the moment) I decided to head out to San Bernardino. Took the shuttle ride up to Marshall Peak and was the first PG to launch, at 2 PM. Only PG in the air for about 45 minutes (3 or 4 hangs). Light winds but sharp, punchy thermals. Got worked for the first hour (one 30% collapse), gained about 2000 over launch, then things slowly smoothed out. Toured the nearby hills for another hour and a quarter in gentle lift before the marine layer moved in and things gradually shut down.

Buoyant air everywhere towards the end (one pg seemed just be parked over the flat lands, neither rising, descending nor turning). Landed uneventfully, then off to Starbucks for an iced latte, and home.
