Thermic?

I'm not at all sure what I hit was thermal lift. The first 5 -10 minutes or so I hit one nice big thermal just below launch which took me 300 or so over. From there I started the glide out and had 0 sink to about midway down the spine. No bumps, no thermals, smoooooth as glass. So naturally I turned around and went back! Ended up about 200 over the launch on the return trip. No thermal activity but I wasn't sinking either. Spun around and headed back down the spine. Still 0 sink. At twin peaks I found lift but it was big, slow, and lazy. 200f/m MAX. It appeared to be coming off the southeast face and we had a southeast wind. I don't know how far over the lip deflected air can travel on such a day but this definitely didnt have that thermally feel I'm used to from Chief. I had more than enough to make it to Boccali's and rather than push my luck I headed out. It was actually bumpier over the valley than it was on the spine. All in all it was an amazing day.
