Bruce, Chris and I arrived at Chief's around 12:30 with Eddie as crew. The cycles were mostly wind but after hanging around and not getting Bruce or Chris to wind dummy I took the bait. The sky was covered with high clouds and there was a pretty strong inversion. I zipped all the way to twin peaks with hardly anything but turbulence. I was hoping to get up at the peaks but it was really poor. I was down to 3400 and I figured I would take what I had left and leave. I did not think Bocalli's was do able so I headed to the field at the end of McAndrew's. The south wind was not even going to give me that. I tucked my tail between my legs and got on the speed bar to make it to the horse pasture to the east of THS. Came in with just enough altitude to turn into the wind and make a safe landing.

It has to be a year and a half since I landed there. I watch Bruce flirt with Twin Peaks and he did a little better but eventually he decided to use his trump card and land at the soccer field at THS.

Because Chris spent time in the bushes at launch, the cycles and thermals began to work. He said he had one of his better flights ever and landed at Bocalli's field. Tom Pipkin was traveling in Ojai and picked us up on the radio and acted as our retrieval. Thanks Tom.
