Friday night update for the weekend weather.

Rumors from Chief’s on Friday indicate good conditions. 13 pilots boating over Chief;s peak, getting into the mid 6s, with one pilot reporting 77? They launched Chiefs around 1:30 to 2 o’clock. The lapse rate on paper looked real good, and the rumors indicated some convergence with light wind from the east at altitude.

We may be a day late on Saturday. The lapse rate is fading back to average, and Friday’s NE is swinging around to a N-NW. Hopefully we’ll get some convergence.

The Forecast for Bishop is looking less windy. Saturday may be flyable and the lower altitudes. (there still calling for 40 knots at 18 grand, but lighter down lower). Sunday looks promising with light wind forecasted.
