Tues. Bill B., Tom Pipkin, and I went to Chiefs. Up there we met up with Bruce. He had his wife drive him up. Tom P and I exchanged wings, his Carbon for my Epsilon 3. Bill connected with a great source off launch and went straight up. The rest of us bounced up and down the spine looking for something concrete. The wind was about 10 mph from the west making most found lift disorganized and uneventful. Tom and I landed and the field next to Boccalis. For a day with the temp spread of 23 degrees it was not much to write home about. The cloud street into Lockwood looked very good in spite of the winds aloft forecast being strong.

Wed. It was Zvi, Bruce, Chris and I. Today proved to be much better. The first bump took me to 6200' and I followed Zvi west to three stooges. Bruce was in tow and Chris eventually followed us. It was an easy day above Nordoff ridge and eventually everyone came in 800'+/- over the field next to NHS. The east wind made everything easy. Chris's first time going xc and he did great. Who is his teacher anyway?
