It was Sharon, Kristi, Brendan, Zvi, Bill B., Bruce, Tom P., John Kloer and myself at launch by 11:30. Sundowner was gone by then, rumors had it he was still in the air when our retrival was under way.

Parts of the Mtn were under shade when I launched. I got up at launch and John K and I were wing to wing in the lift. I saw Tom P more out front and next to Reyes going up. Out there the sun was shinning and that was where the lift was. In no time I was 300' below cb and I took a heading to the east. I kept getting lift and one time took the ride back up, but stayed away from cb.

I arrived over the back of the chute to Cal Trans and pulled big ears and then some and leaned out of my harness to the right and made lazy circles to get down. By this time the sky was rumbling from thunder in the distance and it was raining out by Wolf's Grill.

I landed next to the Cal Tran's entrance and folded up my wing while being treated to the thunder fest. I did not know how long it was going to take to get picked up so I decided to thumb it home. The second car by gave me a ride to my truck at NHS.
