Some things to consider when using the HG launch at Kagel:
1. Since it slopes down back from the lip, your leading edge is not in clean air.
2. Most importantly, when the wind is from the south (usual conditions), you can't see any part of the mountian in front of you when launching from the HG launch. This makes it impossible to see the thermals coming up the hill. From the PG launch there's a pretty good view of the bushes in front of launch to give some warning of when the next gust is moving through.
