Wed we got to launch at 2:30. The spread between the valley and the 6000' temp was at it's peak. Cycles at launch were 10-18, maybe more. I flew Bill B's Matix. It was just Zvi, myself and Eddie our driver. I had a little difficulty with the Matrix but after waiting for a lull in the cycles I got off fine. Zvi was above launch in Bill's Epsilon but I did not get anything that would allow me to go up above launch. I had to go to the saddle below the first bump and work it. Twice I went for Chief's but was not rewarded with anything that would allow me to scratch in low. The third attempt I made it. Zvi had been waiting to go xc with me at the top of Chief's for sometime but I told him to go on, don't wait. I was really rewarded with great lift once I got above launch. I went from 5200' msl to 6400msl in what seemed like less that a minute. I took the altitude and ran to the w repeater noticing Zvi just above the road cut. We both went over WR and the air was great. Unfortunately, Fast Eddie had an appointment and not to take advantage of our ride we landed at the Hocky field at S. School.

The next day we were pumped after such a good day on Wednesday. Today we had Bill B and Claude with two students with Zvi and I. We were there about 1:00 and the first one in the air was Zvi. He flushed to twin peaks and Bill decided to land at home. Zvi was able to scratch his was to get above launch after about 45 min. When I launched I did not have any better luck. I eventually made it back to launch and after 10 minutes was on my way east. I made it to S. School again but Zvi landed short in the foothills above Cesar Cyn Rd. Not as good as yesterday but tomorrow is supposed to be a scorcher.
