I sometimes feel like my game is sharp, but I’m a little leery of the ownership thing. It sounds kind’ a male dominant possessive. Weekend warriors want for battle, but the sky is too vast for ownership. The best I can hope for is to feel the pulse, ride the rhythm, grasp the mood, and sense what’s coming 2 or 3 seconds before I get there.
I remember my first 100 mile PG flight back in 94. I’d had a big day and was felling pretty smug on what I thought was final glide in smooth air under OD. I remember thinking I’d “mastered” The Owens. Right after that thought, I was sharply spanked. I believe in karma.

I enjoy going back and reading my articles years later. On the flight discussion page, I mostly like reading everyone else’s articles. I personally learn from writing about my flights. The review and analyses exercise helps me understand stuff that I didn’t focus on during the heat of battle.
Can you do a slide show for us at one of our SCPA meetings?
