Well, OK it is true. I DID IT!~! What a day it was. I was a bit late to get off into the best cycle of the day. I only made it up to 8800 msl... In my Haste and being left behind by tony and the gang. I dove back into the chute... I made it all the way up behind Haddok in the saddle. I took a good spanking up there was was forced to retreat. I made it into the Ranch area just above the foothills. Shortly there after I was back at 7000. I made a second attempt with no/SAME results. I caught a new thermal just above the pond. Its drift took me out to Dry Canyon... I was in Dry at just under 5K on the foothills. No luck, I had a few people in the landing zone. I came in rather fast on the down wind leg. I hit a thermal on my base leg turn... I almost did the committed 360 but chickend out... I could almost hear Bill Baily screaming DONT you DARE 360 ED... I had a good day. Just over a hour in the air. I am a bit tired but ready to go... ANYONE headed up to pine this week give me a call... I am avail both Tues and Weds...
