On paper it looked like a great day to fly Pine. The morning started off with Bob H realizing that his gear bag had been stolen from his car. Undeterred Bob rounded up replacement gear.

We got to launch about 11:15 and found the cycles coming up nicely. I followed Art and Bob into the air, and found the thermals disorganized at launch level. I went down the spine and connected up to around 8K, and searched around for an hour for something to get me higher but I never got over 8400. I flew over Wolfs Grill, back to Sand Pile.

Kevin D was scratching low for a long while, I thought he would wind up on the trail but he did connect and got up to our 8500 ft ceiling. John got up and stayed high, Tom P launched later and had difficulty finding a way up, but finally connected. I got a bird's eye of Art taking a big collapse on his Matrix.

Sharon launched next to last and had a great flight with a little coaching by Dan K. I saw Dan laid out on launch for a long time, I imagine the cycles were getting weaker. He came in high over the Sand Pile and did a nice landing into the South Wind.
