I carried some extra water bottels so I would be loaded better on my Matrix and I was pleased with the way it handled. Being lighter on his wing BH always had 300 feet on me.
Bob got a good cycle and flew to the spine and got up after a little scratching. I went in a light cycle and ran awhile before getting in the air. I had to scratch for longer before connecting up to the convergence, but once above 8000 it was easy to follow the convergence line.
Conditions were deteriorating below the convergence and it took Walter much longer to connect than BH and I together. Dan had a good Launch, but the triggers had been in shade too long by the time he got in the air.
We tried heading towards Rose Valley, but it became clear that we wern't high enough for that glide, so we headed back for the rocky ledges. Bob and decided to land because of reports form Dan regarding increasing wind at the LZ, he landed with about 10 from the S and it had picked up to about 14 or more.
