After camping at the LZ, and a long breakfast in town, we returned to the LZ to find it deserted. Quite surprised actually because Sunday was much clearer and looked to be a better day than Saturday. Rob vZ was there cleaning up, and 3 or 4 other people were milling around, but for the most part everyone had left.

So we drove ourselves up to launch again. Weather was clearer, but there was still haze and conditions were light. We both launched into decent cycles and had no problem climbing out above launch. Conditions got a little stronger, but not too bad. Covered quite a bit of ground, out front, down to the 750, back up to the back ridge, up to around 4800 and then top landed (mellow this time). Kristi top landed as well, we sat for a bit, had lunch out of the cooler, and then Kristi volunteered to drive down and I re-launched.

Conditions were very nice on the second flight. Much bigger thermals and fewer surprises. I had no problem getting to 5400 and I was finding lift everywhere. Eventually I saw Kristi folding her wing at the LZ so I started to work my way down. The bouyant air made the descent a lengthy process, but it was fun playing around over the LZ.

Sunday I doubt there were more than 5 paragliders that flew all day. I couldn't understand it because it was so much nicer than Saturday, but I guess people just had other things to do.

We had a great time for the weekend.

Brendan
