Arived at the Skyport with Simon and Nancy just before noon. The cycles were very light out of the SW. We could see the inversion, and noticed how much cooler it was down below when we did our wind check at the rock. We had a blue hole above us but high clouds were moving in from the NW. The cycles began to pick up and Simon spread his wing as the high clouds took over our blue sky. We should have taken the light cycles because the thermal block was weakening due to the high clouds and it started to breathe down. We watched it for 5 minutes, and the NW cycles were getting stronger. We could see that it was working below the inversion so we raced to the ByPass. I puched of on my Ambar, and Simon was right behind on his Arcus. We stayed well clear of the RH, and manged to climb up a bit on the RH spine. The drift was out of the southwest, and like Tuesday the wind was tearing up the thermals a bit. Climbing above the RH should have been the play, but the inversion wouldn't let us get high enough there to give enough clearance so we headed for the Antenna farm. The lift was choppy and weak, we climbed to the inversion(2350 feet) and managed to hang in there for 20 minutes. We got low at the rock, and Simon touched down at the end of the fire break, and I sqeaked into Parma. 3/16 Parma @ 10
