Bob H., Ron F., Zvi, Claude and others flew from Skyport. We were up there around 11:00 and the conditions looked like they could overdevelop. Cycles were fair, and getting a 100' above launch was not too hard but that is all one could expect. Out at the AF it was very busy. Quite a few wings in the air. It was easy to get to cloud base around 3200' and many green pilots were doing just that. Not a day to be in the clouds. Bob headed towards Montecito Peak but flushed to Westmont. Ron, Zvi and I landed at Parma. There was a good head wind aloft near the LZ and very good sink right at the lip of Parma. I used my speed bar to hit the landing area. Barely... I watched as Zvi hit the invisible barrier as I did at Parma. Sink sink and... Zvi jumped on the speed bar to make it and almost landed on Ron. I never saw Ron move so quickly. Claude went to the beach. He had the AF to himself and took advantage of the lift to go into the white stuff to get the altitude.
