Hey gang,

Here are some of my memories of the day ...

I headed west towards the holly hills. The thermals were big and edgy. I never really hooked one; it was more like trying to break a horse .... just hang on until it mellows out! There was a strong east that I could not penetrate and was taking me further east on each 360. Knowing that I had to commit to heading west, I threw in the towel and headed to Saint Mary's.

I setup over the building on west of SM, knowing there was nasty air on lee of the ridge. It was quite challenging setting up to land, with a parachutage between 100 and 25 feet ...

Oh well, next time ...
