Benson, Ron Faoro, Bill Bailey, Dan Keyser and I arrived at Skyport late, around 1:30 or 2:00. Everyone but Dan launched in weak Cycles with Bill landing at SM, Benson, Ron and I finding our way to Parma. (Despite the conditions, Benson got a good glide from his new Epsilon-3; his first-ever launch with the new wing). I launched fourth and found myself running below the lip 20 feet downslope toward the chaparell before liftoff. Upslope winds completely abandoned Dan so he was forced to drive back down the hill. Ron and I scratched in weak lift at the rock for 20 minutes or so, occassionally rising above the ridge but generally just holding our own. We both made it to Parma by way of the fire road.
