Northern California Cross Country League- June

The June event of the 2012 Northern California Cross Country League will be held at Dunlap on 9th and 10th June. Please meet at 9.30am at the Dunlap Community Center ready to go up the hill.
There is a fee to fly at Dunlap. Please either pay by paypal or pay at the Community Center. The link is http://www.flydunlap.com/
The league is open to all pilots - hang-glider and paraglider pilots are all welcome to attend. It is designed to train pilots in cross country flying by flying fixed routes with more abled pilots. The aim of the league is on GETTING PILOTS TO FLY AS FAR AS POSSIBLE. The Cross Country league is an informal series of cross country competitions running from March through to October held at flying sites within driving distance of the Bay Area. The league is set to help pilots of all abilities in improving their flying skills by flying set courses with other pilots. These are essentially a fly in with a mission. Pilots attending the league should be happy thermalling with other pilots and be able to land safely not necessarily in the designated landing zone. Any pilots who can do this is more than welcome at the league.
There is a website devoted to the league: http://www.santacruzparagliding.com where you can find all the information you need for the league. If you wish to fly in the league please fill out the registration form on the website: https://spreadsheets.google.com/viewfor ... dlUwMnc6MA
Bring a completed waiver (which can also be found on the website) to the first league event: http://santacruzparagliding.com/NCXC/waiver.pdf
For those of you who have not been to the league before there is a webpage: http://www.santacruzparagliding.com/NCX ... imers.html which explains how the league actually functions and how pilots can prepare themselves for the league and the weekend. For those pilots who have never attended the league before, there is NO CHARGE FOR THE FIRST TWO WEEKENDS.
If you wish to car pool, figure out places to eat or camp, please register with the yahoo groups (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/SFBAPAXC/)
so that you can co-ordinate with other pilots.
There is a charge for $15 per task for the league. $5 of which will go to the hired retrieve driver and the owner of any large truck that comes out to the league to help in getting to launch and retrieving.
If you have any questions about the league please let me know.
Hope to see you in the air.

PS If you are a P2 pilot and want to become involved with the league I am always looking for retrieve drivers.
